An Ideal Citizen (an essay for secondary classes)

1. An Ideal Citizen
The person who has legal rights to live permanently in a country, is called a citizen of that country. Every citizen has certain duties and responsibility to perform in a natural way. The citizens who perform their duties and responsibilities honestly are called the ideal citizens.
The first important duty of an ideal citizen is to inculcate within him the human values. For example, he should respect other human beings. He should not discriminate on the basis of colour, caste and creed. He should be tolerant to all people that  come his in contact. He is a broad-minded person. If he enjoys his own rights conferred upon him by the constitution of the country, he is also ready to allow others to enjoy the same freedom and the rights.
He is full of all the cardinal virtues like sympathy, kindness, love, affection, cooperation, honesty, loyalty, etc. He is full of the milk of human kindness. He sympathises with the poor and the sufferer. He does not believe in exploiting the people or any situation. He is not a selfish person. He is ready to offer help to the needy persons according to his capacity. He is not only kind to human beings, but also to all the creatures on the earth. He is an honest person and does all his duties honestly. He is loyal to his country, family and his friends.
He is a great patriot. So he is ready to sacrifice his life if there is need for that. He obeys the rules of the country. Wherever he goes, he wins the hearts of the people around him by means of his virtues and good manners. He is very polite to all.  He never breaks any system. If he has to wait for his turn in a long queue, he does it patiently. He never loses temper because his emotions are always in his control.

He performs his responsibility towards his country, society and family with full honesty. Everyone is proud of him and always yearns for his company. He is appreciated by all. He is a friend of all.
