You must have seen some dogs which start barking on seeing a stranger. They do not come near him but keep on following the stranger. If the person throws a stone at them, they run away at once. Similarly, you might have seen a person who starts shouting at small issues. He or she becomes ready to attack. This is because the other person is lenient and is not reacting strongly. The moment the other person becomes bold and stands against him or her, the situation changes. That person becomes silent.

Sometimes dark clouds in the sky start thundering. We all think that there will be heavy rain. But after some time, the clouds disappear without bringing rain. Thus, we see that the proverb ‘Barking dogs seldom bite’ is true . We should not be afraid of the situation that seems to be colossal (very big) to us. It may seem to be posing dangers to us. But if we are determined to overcome it, we can do so. So the proverb is applicable in  our life also!
