‘Early to Bed And Early to Rise: Makes a Man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.’ ( Paragraphs for the Middlers)

4.   ‘Early to bed and early to rise: makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.’
This proverb signifies that early rising is very beneficial for all of us. It is natural because all the creatures on the earth also wake up from their night’s sleep early before the sun-rise. In 'Aayurveda', the habit of early-rising has been emphasized to keep our body fit and healthy. If we get up early in the morning, we may accrue so many benefits for our health. An early riser may go out for walk and jogging. He or she can do meditation, yoga and other physical exercises. By doing meditation and introspection, we become wiser than before. We become wealthy in the sense that our health is also our wealth.  If we are healthy, then and only then we can do hard work and be wealthy. A farmer may tend his cattle and he may go to his fields to do other activities. A house-maker can do so many activities of the house early in the morning. She can prepare breakfast for school going children. She can also finish several other pending tasks. A student can revise his or her lessons and can complete pending home-work. In this way the day becomes long for an early riser. So the proverb ‘Early to bed and early to rise: makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’ is quite appropriate for us.
